3433-LG Solanum lycopersicum
(Determinate. 65 day.)
Whippersnapper is an aptly named early-maturing little tomato. Our favourite for hanging baskets, gallon pots and container gardens. High-yielding compact cherry with oval-shaped fruit, lovely pink (pink!) colour and sweet flavour. Mother Earth News called this tomato’s growing habit “quirky.” That sounds about right considering the trailing side branches that feel right at home in a container.
*Note, these tomatoes tend to be more red when grown in mushroom compost.
