A rare heirloom variety originating from Japan.
Vigorous, 2-3′ tall bush plants produce heavy sets of plump pods early in the season, with 3-4 dark green seeds in a pod.
Pods are easy to shell once steamed and beans are deliciously smooth with a sweet, nutty flavour.
Shirofumi is known for it’s disease-resistance and productivity.
