Developed by professor Elwyn M. Meader at the University of New Hampshire. Bred to thrive in the shorter, cooler summers of northern regions.
The hardy plants are upright and compact, growing to 2′ in height. Bright green pods contain 2-3 beans.
The beans are harvested while immature and green. They are traditionally steamed or boiled in salted water and served as a high-protein snack or side dish.
