A beloved heirloom pie pumpkin introduced around 1893 by Johnson & Stokes Seed Co., later refined by Gill Brothers Seed Co. in 1917.
3-5 lbs round orange fruits with a slightly netted skin that “sparkles” in the patch. Rich, smooth and velvety flesh is on the drier side for pumpkin, making it a great culinary variety.
