(Popcorn) 100 days.
A pre-1885 heirloom popcorn maintained by the Pennsylvania Dutch. These tall (8′), dark green plants will produce two 6″ conical cobs with both rice- and pearl-type kernels. This dual-purpose corn produces fluffy, white, buttery popcorn and can also be ground for flour, polenta, hominy, etc. Harvest when husks are dry and peel back easily, usually in September. Store husked cobs until properly dried and ‘pop-able’.
