Lettuce – Green Oakleaf – Salad Bowl

2405 Lactuca sativa

28 days baby, 50 days full size.
Salad Bowl was introduced in 1952 and won a prestigious All-America Selections prize the same year, and has also received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Heat-tolerant loose-leaf variety known for its bright green, frilly, deeply lobed oak-like leaves, tender texture and sweet flavour that resists bitterness in warm weather, making it a reliable “cut-and-come-again” crop for salads, sandwiches and garnishes.
It shows good resistance to tipburn, a common issue where leaf edges brown.
