5064 Tropaeolum majus
Annual. 60 days.
Nasturtium is native to Peru where it was cultivated by the Incas for both its culinary and medicinal properties.
Spanish conquistadors brought it to Europe around 1500, where it was initially grown as a vegetable and known as “Indian Cress”.
Glamorous ruby-black flowers with contrasting bright green foliage are not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also edible.
This compact Nasturtium only grows 12-16″ tall, perfect for container growing or borders. Blooms continuously throughout the summer.
Nasturtiums tolerate poor soil, naturally repel pest insects and attract hummingbirds.
